This subject developes students' television journalism skills and applies them to current affairs production. It involves selecting stories, conducting research and interviews and non-linear editing. Completed stories may be selected for inclusion in a simulated current affairs program to be produced and presented by students.
Learning Outcomes
- the ability to isolate an idea or issue and undertake the research necessary to convert the material into a producible form;
- the ability to undertake appropriate post production;
- the ability to undertake practical single camera location production;
- the ability to undertake the necessary production management activities to ensure the production is possible.
