This subject further developes students' understanding and skill in radio journalism and its application to the production of Documentary programs or radio Features. The importance of research, preparation, planning and production for documentary radio will be examined.
Learning Outcomes
- Develop a Documentary Proposal that provides a program description, objectives, methodology, production resources, talent and timeline;
- Conduct research and develop a network of information sources;
- Design and construct documentary script incorporating dialogue, music and special effects;
- Demonstrate the ability to structure and digitally mix relevant audio material;
- Conduct documentary interviews and demonstrate an ability to operate digital recording and editing equipment.
