Available to all students enrolled in Occupational Therapy programs. Also available to students in other programs through negotiation with the Head of the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

This subject is designed to introduce students to the competencies involved in the development of health promotion activities and programs. Students will be introduced to the principles and theories of health promotion and to the processes of health promotion program planning, design, implementation and evaluation. Cross-cultural aspects of health promotion will be introduced. A settings approach to health promotion will be discussed and students will have the opportunity to critically analyse health promotion case studies.
