Planning and Print for multimedia. This is the first unit of a six semester advanced program for students studying a multimedia major within the Bachelor of Communication Design. Students enrolled in this subject will undertake a series of lectures, tutorials and practical exercises designed to develop a broad understanding of the function, philosophy and role of multimedia within contemporary society.Students will develop expertise in a range of design related skills and technologies and will examine several concept building techniques that underpin the development of multimedia. This will also include the design and production of a range of 2D design print pieces, which would typically be used as support for CD/DVD projects.Through a series of practical exercises, students will be introduced to a range of issues which must be considered before the commencement of a multimedia project with an emphasis on the development of costing and production schedules for multimedia.
