This subject focuses on the applications of airborne and satellite remote sensing to terresterial environments for resource inventory, monitoring and environmental problem solving. The theory and practice of relevant image interpretation and digital image analysis techniques are covered through practical and project work. Local fieldwork is carried out to provide an evaluation of the accuracy of image analysis.
