This subject will consider some of the practical, theoretical and research issues related to the use of learning technology in schools. These will include cognitive, curriculum, social and equity aspects of learning technology use. Students will relate these issues to the educational environment in which they are situated.
Learning Outcomes
- analyse evidence regarding the efficacy of learning technology for effective learning and teaching;
- critically examine models of use of learning technology in educational environments;
- evaluate learning technology materials in terms of their motivational and other characteristics;
- make informed judgements regarding the place of learning technology in educational environments.
