Available only to students enrolled in the Master of Guidance and Counselling.

Utilising the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM) (Stolenberg, McNeill & Delworth, 1998) of counsellor development, this subject is designed to meet the Australian Board of Certified Counsellors (ABCC) requirements of 200 hours of counselling and associated practice. Field-based placements, along with verbal, written and recorded case presentations with an emphasis upon reflective practice and peer support assist the novice counsellor to develop the skills necessary for quality ethical practice.
