Available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Education program and who have completed Ed2490 or ED2491 including 6 units in each discipline area for BEd (Secondary).

This subject is part of the developmental curriculum for professional experience within the BEd program. In schools and professional settings relevant to their specialist sector (Early Childhood, Primary, or Secondary), students will compile a portfolio of materials based on purposeful observations, data gathering, planning, teaching, and managing learning environments within an ethic of care, and where appropriate in multi-age contexts. Students will collaborate, co-plan and co-teach with school-based teacher educators, starting with small groups and leading to whole class teaching episodes. By the end of professional experience, students will have taught not less than 14 lessons. There will be an option for rural placements.
