Fundamental and practical concepts in computer graphics including interactive graphics, visual realism, graphics hardware, scene rendering, graphics primitives, geometric transformations, visible surface determination, illumination and shading, colour specification, viewing in 3D, modelling and animation.
Learning Outcomes
- be capable of modelling and animating 3D objects, at postgraduate level;
- be capable of using graphics libraries in programming, at postgraduate level;
- demonstrate understanding at postgraduate level of 2D and 3D graphics systems;
- demonstrate understanding at postgraduate level of the rendering and viewing techniques of 3D objects.
