This is the first of two semesters of mathematics which will cover the Mathematics B syllabus core curriculum for years 11 and 12 as outlined by the Queensland Department of Education.
Learning Outcomes
- apply geometry knowledge and learn the mathematical relationship for a range of geometric shapes and mathematical functions;
- develop skills in the plotting and manipulation of data, graphed on exponential and logarithmic scales;
- develop skills in problem solving with group tutorial problems as well as with individual assignments;
- cover core mathematics II curriculum and the application of mathematics to real world problems;
- review basic mathematics skills and become familiar with the use of scientific calculators.
