Available, at the discretion of the Head of College, to all students with a BVA or equivalent qualification undertaking the BVA Honours (Practice) degree.
Students will undertake a number of tasks relating to the analysis of creating practice, process and product.
Learning Objectives:
become competent in a range of research techniques;
develop a critical appraisal and evaluation of current literature in the visual arts;
become familiar with advanced method and theory within the student's field of specialisation;
further the student's abilities in working as an independent researcher and artist by following an individual program or research.
Assessment by presentation of a thesis not normally exceeding 5,000 words, text, visually documented and having a supportive relationship to the specialisation.
