This subject will encompass a study of spatial relationships, composition and media handling skills with emphasis on life drawing.

Learning Objectives:

understand and develop a range of mark making procedures;

be competent in the manipulation of a variety of different media;

have a working knowledge of the various historical/contemporary methods of representing two-dimensional space;

have the necessary technical skills to represent human form from specific objective/view points.

Assessment will be based on four prescribed folios of drawings (20% each, total 80%); participation (10%); research journal (10%).
