Regional Tourism Planning
Available to Tourism majors students only.

The focus of this subject is the analysis of well-defined tourism regions in terms of planning, development and management. The subject will cover definitions of tourism regions and highlight the methods, purposes and products of regional tourism planning studies. The role of local tourist authorities, government and the community will be considered. Case studies will be used to provide insight into current strategies and approaches to regional tourism planning. Analyses of several regions will be undertaken to reveal alternate strategies and styles of planning for regional tourism operations.
