Haematology 2
The subject builds on PP4307 and applies an understanding of the function and quantitation of blood components in the diagnosis of clinical pathology. Emphases will be placed on developing skills in morphological interpretation of both non-neoplastic and malignant pathology and the various causes of anaemia. The haematological microscopic diagnosis of malaria will be covered and methods of determining haemostasis will be applied to clinical conditions of coaguopathy. The subject completes the professional competency required for a graduate haematology, medical laboratory scientist.
