Public Policy Honours Thesis
Available to Public Policy Honours Program students on recommendation of Course Convenor and relevant Head of School(s).
Individual supervisors.
The Public Policy Honours thesis provides an opportunity for students to complete an original piece of research in public policy. It involves regular meetings with supervisor(s) and presentations to public policy seminars. The thesis will be 12,000-15,000 words. The thesis may comprise an internship research project conducted within an approved host institution in which a senior staff member acts as a co-supervisor of the project.
Assessment by thesis (100%) examined by two examiners approved by relevant Head of School(s). Where the thesis involves an internship, the host supervisor will provide a written assessment of the intern's thesis and overall contribution to the internship. This report may be taken into account in borderline cases and may add to, but may not subtract from, a student's final grade.
