Critical Thinking for Nursing

50 hours flexible delivery. Semester 1.

Available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing Science (Post-registration) - Fiji program.

Introductory material on academic (critical) reading and effective academic writing. Presentation skills are fostered. Critical thinking skills and reflective thinking skills are introduced.

Learning Objectives:

assess and enhance own written and oral presentation communication;

develop skills in using writing in a personal/professional journal to support change;

develop skills to critically reflect on behaviours and actions in order to improve professional competence in nursing.

Assessment by presentations (35%); assignment (50%); annotated bibliography (15%).
