Townsville

HECS Band 2

26 hours lectures, 6 hours tutorials, 6 hours practicals, 2 days field work/field project. Semester 2.

Staff:

Emphasis will be placed on the ecological functioning and how hard science can be directed to underpin coherent management of these systems.

Learning Objectives:

gain an understanding of the current state of knowledge of the patterns and processes occurring within tropical estuaries;

critically evaluate previously published research in the field of tropical estuarine ecology;

present written work in a scientific format.
