Interpolation, integration, nonlinear equations, systems of linear equations, ordinary differential equations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a matrix.

Learning Objectives:

this subject provides an introduction to numerical computation and emphasises both essential algorithms and practical implementation, together with a range of applications from various disciplines.

Assessment by coursework (40%); examination (60%).
