Medical Jurisprudence
Available to LLB and joint degree LLB students.
This is a skills based subject with the primary objective being the development of effective professionals who can set aside personal biases in order to broadly and properly understand the underlying legal principles of health law. Topics include social issues and regulation of health care in Australia; confidentiality; consent to medical treatment; professional liability; reproduction; reproductive technology; surrogacy; genetics; euthanasia; living will legislation; human tissue and organs and complaints against health care professionals.
