Competition Mooting

HECS Band 3

Self-directed research over one semester relating to the Jessup International Law Moot Competition or other approved mooting competition. Semester 1 or 2.

Available to LLB students. Quota applies with preference given to fourth and final year students and students with previous mooting experience.

Advanced research and analysis in a selected topic, development of skills in presenting oral arguments and preparation of written memorials setting out detailed legal arguments in relation to the Jessup International Law Moot Competition or other approved mooting competition.

Learning Objectives:

development of students' research, writing and oral presentation skills.

Assessment by preparation of written memorial and participation in the Moot Competition, or other assessable work as required, on a Pass/Fail basis, credited towards the degree at the students' mean grade point average.
