A study of case, statutory and text materials concerning civil wrongs. Topics cover intentional wrongs to the person, goods and land, nuisance, defamation, strict liability, statutory duties and other miscellaneous matters.
Learning Objectives:
develop students' understanding of fundamental underlying principles at work in the law of torts, as well as the dynamics of the case law system.
Assessment by examination (70%); on-course assessment (30%). (Subject to variation.)
