The subject introduces students to copy-tasting, subeditorial and print production aspects of daily newspaper journalism.

Learning Objectives:

evaluate the news worthiness of news copy;

subedit news copy electronically;

write headlines as directed;

layout copy and illustrations electronically on broadsheet and tabloid pages as directed.

Assessment by practical assignments.
