Available to Bachelor of Indigenous Studies students who have successfully completed this subject at level 2 and other undergraduate students who are eligible to take a level 3 subject.

This subject examines community management principles applied in the implementation of project and work activities. It explores processes for effective communication, negotiation, human resource management, monitoring and implementation strategies. Project planning from an Indigenous perspective will also be addressed.

Learning Objectives:

review the history of service provision to Indigenous communities;

examine current government policy and the trend towards community, government and non-government sector partnerships;

develop an understanding of cross-sectoral partnerships theory in the management of Indigenous communities and organisations.
