Available to Bachelor of Indigenous Studies students.

This subject builds on Television 1 and 2 and Journalism within the Advanced Diploma and has been designed to nurture the technical and creative skills necessary to undertake short video documentaries. Students learn both planning and production skills and how to prepare the material for packaging and distribution.

Learning Objectives:

the ability to isolate an idea or issue and undertake the research necessary to convert the material into a producible form;

the ability to undertake the necessary production management activities to ensure the production is possible;

the ability to undertake practical single camera location production;

the ability to undertake appropriate post production.

Assessment by treatment (10%). research and pre-production documentation (30%); edit script (20%); completed documentary (40%).
