Fundamentals of Population Analysis

Introduces a working knowledge of basic techniques in the analysis of population change and distribution; and of population and development inter-relations in order to develop practical skills in data analysis.

Learning Objectives:

to familiarise students with practical skills in analysing population data and examine its relevance to planning and development.

Assessment by examination (30%); quizzes/tests (20%); assignments (50%).
