This subject builds on the knowledge of population concepts and theories taught in Ge2304 . The contemporary population dimension to environmental changes is examined from a world perspective. The subject also focuses on contemporary thought and changes in the Australian society including youth identity, globalisation, contemporary family and household change, fertility and mortality transition, demographic perspectives of ageing and Indigenous societies.
