Learning Objectives:

further improve students' competence in reading and writing French and viewing films and to develop their analytic skills through a study of a variety of approaches to literary and film criticism;

make students familiar with the thought of the period studied.

Assessment by one 3,000 word essay (65%); one 1,500 word essay (35%).
