The visual art strand explores aims, concepts, strategies, art media, safety and techniques, planning for effective teaching and learning, literacy, appraising, display and evaluation. The critical approach tracks historical art education trends and recent challenges aimed at greater inclusivity. The music strand critically examines a philosophy of music education commonly found in Australian primary and secondary schools. The RATEP version of this subject requires access to CD-ROM and Web-based material.
