An exposition of the theory of international trade, the theory and practice of commercial policy and the theory of open-economy macroeconomics and its relation to regional development.

Learning Objectives:

have a knowledge of international economics;

be able to evaluate the usefulness and limitations of international economics theory;

be able to apply this theory to a critical evaluation of policy debates in the areas of

international trade, foreign exchange markets and exchange rates and balance of payments adjustment.
