An introduction to the study of genres in the cinema by the study of a group of films featuring the love story.

Learning Objectives:

introduce students to the concept of genres;

familiarise students with common elements of filmic expression.

Assessment by two assignments (50%); class participation (20%); end-of-semester examination (30%).
