This subject will develop and extend student knowledge in the area of plant propagation and revegetation with special emphasis on pasture ecology, agronomy and management in tropical ecosystems.

Learning Objectives:

to gain an understanding of the theory and practice of plant propagation with special relevance to tropical pastures;

to address issues in plant selection, introduction and cultivar development;

to identify the impact of grazing animals and other environmental variables on pastoral production.

Assessment by examination and/or written assignments and field project.
