Introduction to Literature Written in English
Available to Tertiary Access Course students.

This subject is designed to help the student to read and appreciate the role and contribution of Indigenous literature in Australia. Whilst the main focus will be on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander works some non-Indigenous texts will be included to exemplify genres and conventions of English literature. The subject also aims to extend basic writing and speaking skills. Summary writing as well as academic approaches to writing will be incorporated into workshop activities.
