Cultural Heritage Studies Honours
Available to level 4 Honours students who have completed the core strand in archaeology and/or anthropology or other equivalent course of study approved by the Dean on the advice of the Head of School.

This subject provides students with an opportunity both to deepen their understandings of theoretical issues and research methodologies in cultural heritage studies and to broaden their familiarity with the social sciences. Admission is available on a full-time or part-time basis to students who have satisfied the requirements of the school regarding the standard of academic achievement necessary to proceed to the honours degree. The curriculum comprises a cultural heritage studies seminar (weekly during Semester 1); a multi-disciplinary seminar (fortnightly during Semesters 1 and 2); the supervised writing of a 12,000 word thesis on a specific research project.
