Available to students enrolled in the BAppSc course.

Course developed with staff of placement institution to provide the best experience for the student.

Learning Objectives:

to give students first hand experience of a commercial/institutional aquaculture operation;

to develop the skills required for working as part of a small production team;

to develop an appreciation of the factors required for successful aquaculture production;

to develop the practical skills required for aquaculture production;

to produce students better equipped for employment in the aquaculture industry.

Assessment by student report on their placement experience (60%); questionnaire completed by host regarding student performance (20%); a student interview (20%).
