Anthropology Honours Seminar B

26 hours seminars. Semester 1.

Available only to students enrolled in the BA(Hons), BSocSc(Hons) and GradDipSocSc.

A directed reading seminar on a special area topic chosen by the subject coordinator. Students are required to undertake intensive reading and discussion of a body of empirical and/or theoretical material in the discipline.

Learning Objectives:

demonstrate the student's knowledge of the discipline;

acquire the skills required to engage in research associated with higher degree research projects;

cultivate a critical understanding of key debates in areas of research theory and/or methodology.

Assessment by presentations (50%); essays (50%).
