Advanced Topics in Psychology

108 hours lectures, 24 hours seminars. Full year.

Available to psychology students who have completed three years of study and who have been accepted into level 4 of the psychology program.

This subject comprises five modules covering advanced psychology topics. All students must complete an ethics and professional practice module, an advanced seminars module and three other modules chosen from a menu of topics advised by the School prior to the commencement of each year.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to acquire specialised, in-depth knowledge of selected psychology topics;
  2. to acquire advanced professional competencies and knowledge bases;
  3. to develop and hone critical and analytical skills of a high professional standard.

Assessment by examination, presentation and/or written assignment as specified by the staff member coordinating each module.
