Entrepreneurship

This subject is designed to provide an overall introduction to the entrepreneurial context both from a theoretical perspective and practical application of its principles. Topics covered include: nature and importance of entrepreneurs; legal issues for entrepreneurs; the financial plan; venture capital; entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs; the marketing plan; sources of capital and legal forms of ownership; floating – going public.

Learning Objectives:

  1. ability to prepare a business plan which will take students through the processes of entrepreneurialism and give them a solid foundation on which to explore careers as entrepreneurs. The cases and examinations serve to assess the students’ understanding and facility of entrepreneurship principles.
