It offers practical experience in local ‘foreign correspondence’ simulations, or, where possible, overseas media outlets.
Learning Objectives:
- to further develop students’ knowledge of the principles and practice of journalism by an examination of foreign news;
- to identify and develop journalism skills required for foreign correspondence.
Assessment by participation in classes (10%); regular assignments throughout the semester (90%). Foreign news students at level 3 will be required to produce a higher standard of work than those at level 2.
