Professional Planning Work Experience

6 hours tutorials. Block mode, Wednesdays during Semester 1 and all of August.
Available to all TURP students.
Staff: Dr D King.
Work placement with professional firms, local authorities, statutory bodies and other organisations operating in planning.
Learning Objectives:
- provide practical experience of the planning process;
- allow students to relate their academic experience to the working environment;
- gain first hand experience of the workplace;
- develop professional linkages with potential employers.
Assessment by employer assessment (50%); professional work record (50%).
