Microclimatology

The subject introduces aspects of the microclimatology of Australian ecosystems. It emphasises the comparative microclimates of rainforests, open forests and grasslands, microclimates of croplands and microclimates of urban areas.

Learning Objectives:

  1. introduce aspects of basic microclimatology;
  2. introduce microclimatological aspects of the functioning of selected Australian ecosystems.

Assessment by essay (2,500 words); field report (2,000 words); examination. Weighting of each item to be decided in consultation with students.
