This subject further develops an integrated view of classroom planning, teaching and evaluation, especially long-term planning and curriculum development. Emphasis is also placed on classroom management as a deliberate aspect of a teacher’s classroom practice.
Learning Objectives:
- understand the research into and historical background and relevance of classroom planning;
- be capable of effective classroom planning, at both individual and collaborative levels;
- extend the theory of practice relating to the implementation of classroom management.
Assessment by negotiation with the student cohort, but will centre on completion of an integrated unit plan (45%); a final semester examination (55%).
