An introduction to the study of genres in the cinema by the study of a group of films featuring the love story.
Learning Objectives:
- introduce students to the concept of genres;
- familiarise students with common elements of filmic expression.
Assessment by two minor assignments (20%); class participation (20%); one major assignment (30%); one three-hour end-of-semester examination (30%).
