Management Foundation in Aquaculture

Management functions of planning, decision making, controlling, organising, leading and managing in aquaculture industries in the 2000s and beyond.

Learning Objectives:

  1. describe the challenges confronting managers in the aquaculture industry;
  2. examine selected management functions critical to the success of organisations in the aquaculture industry;
  3. briefly examine relevant topics in marketing, economics, small business management and commerce that impact on decision-making;
  4. increase the student’s awareness and understanding of fundamental management issues in order to increase their effectiveness and efficiency for future employment in industry.

Assessment by examination (50%); written project (50%).
