Tourism Marketing

This subject includes analysis and practical applications of marketing research methods appropriate for tourism. The unique issues associated with services and tourism marketing are identified and discussed. Case study analysis is used to develop problem solving skills and to provide opportunities for the practical application of theory and concepts learned in class.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to supplement basic marketing knowledge by focussing on problems and strategies specific to service organisations, tourism in particular;
  2. to examine the uniqueness of the tourism industry marketing environment, its problems and strategies to overcome these difficulties;
  3. to develop skills in marketing report preparation.
