Contact hours will vary according to the module chosen up to a maximum of 120 hours workshops. Semester 2.
Available to level 1 BT students only.
Students enrolling in this subject will undertake modules in either Acting or Production.
Acting
Study topic Improvisation
Acting and responding, beginning and developing improvisation, concentration and spontaneity, non-verbal and verbal improvisation, a character in improvisation, building a performance from improvisation.
Production
Technical production students choose from modules covering such areas as: assistant stage management; lighting for theatre; sound for theatre; props and set construction; wardrobe management and all design elements. Students actively engage as part of specific teams to meet the technical support needs of public performance.

Acting
- to enable students to identify, employ and obtain mastery of core skills necessary to professional practice.
Production
- to enable students to identify, employ and obtain mastery of fundamental key competencies necessary for the development of soundscape for theatrical productions.

Five key elements of rehearsal process (10% each) (50%); five key elements in performance skills (10% each) (50%).
Production
One production report (50%); continuous assessment of practical skills (50%).
