Doctoral Seminars in Forensic Psychology

Available to students admitted to the Doctor of Psychology program.

This subject constitutes an independent study contract. It also incorporates lectures and workshops by experts in specialist forensic fields. The contract will involve an in-depth critical examination, review and evaluation of a specialised forensic topic or research area that is of particular interest to the student. Topics for the project must be negotiated with the subject coordinator in advance together with a schedule of periodic reviews of progress. The independent study will culminate in a presentation by the student of at least one-hour duration. A written submission summarising the work of at least 3000 words must also be submitted at the end of semester 2.

Assessment by seminar presentation (30%); written paper (70%).
