This subject is designed to inform students of the potential for a successful career in music and will cover a host of issues related to developing a professional portfolio in the music industry.
Learning Objectives:
- gain hands-on experience of managing music in the professional environment;
- develop a variety of entrepreneurial, management, administration and marketing skills;
- enhance potential for a successful career in music;
- develop a variety of skills in personal presentation, communication, self-management and promotion.
Assessment by group concert presentation (25%); promotional folio, curriculum vitae (30%); job application, interview (30%); seminar presentation (15%).
