This subject is a study of contemporary Australian history, paying close attention to social, economic and political issues that are currently under debate.

Learning Objectives:

  1. develop a close and critical interest in Australian history;
  2. develop research skills;
  3. develop the ability to argue logically and coherently from information from diverse sources;
  4. refine writing skills.

Assessment by examination (40%); essay (25%); tutorial attendance and activities (35%).
