Ecosystems and inter-relationships between physical and biotic elements of the environment. Atmospheric circulations at different scales. Weather patterns and their spatial and temporal variations.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to develop an understanding of contemporary biogeographical principles;
  2. to develop an understanding of climatic and atmospheric processes at varying scales.

Assessment by examination (50%); practicals (12%); tutorials (6%); essay (25%); field report (7%).
