Australian Landscape Processes and Evolution

The subject examines patterns and processes of the development of the Australian landscape and its soil mantle and human interactions with these elements of the natural environment.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to develop an understanding of geomorphic and soil forming processes;
  2. to gain an understanding of the development of Australian landscapes at various spatial and temporal scales;
  3. to develop skills in landform interpretation and analysis.

Assessment by examination (50%); on-course assessment (essay, field work, practicals, tutorials) (50%).
